Research Prototypes

Research prototypes are a way to make ideas about information access tangible and test how people might use them. During my PhD research at the University of Amsterdam and my applied research at Yahoo! Labs, I developed prototypes for searching within structured documents, finding relevant passages, annotating photos, and browsing image collections through tags. These projects connect research questions in information retrieval with working interfaces and systems.
