Plana Novella
A sunny summer hike to the Catalan-Tibetan buddhist monastery in Plana Novella. We started the hike in Garraf and walked to Sitges.

Roca Centella
A cloudy-day hike in the Montseny Natural Park together with a couple of friends. We set off from Figaró and headed for La Garriga along the PR C-33 short distance path — with a mid-way detour to the top of Roca Centella (1001m).

Skorradalsháls
On a recent trip to Iceland I did a short hike that I have not done in quite some time. I hiked onto a small ridge called Skorradalsháls (314m) and separates the valleys Skorradalur and Lundareykjadalur in west Iceland.

Þverfellshorn
Mt. Esja rises above Reykjavík across the bay north of the city. It is one of the most popular recreation areas close to Reykjavík. The most popular peak is Þverfellshorn (780 m) which is accessible by a marked path, yet fairly challenging.

II Circular Pantà d’Oliana
An 81km endurance hike from the Spanish town of Oliana, around the Oliana reservoir and back to the starting point. The circuit went through a mountainous area on either side and the accumulated elevation difference was 6.200m.

Taga Núria — Part II
It was 6:59:59 AM in the quiet Pyrenees town of Ribes de Freser. The soothing sounds of the River Freser flowed through the town — accompanied with an occasional tweet from an insomniac night owl typing fervidly on their smart phone. Suddenly the tranquility of countryside was disturbed by the crowing of a rooster.
